Tom and Bear

this is tom...tom the cat.

he doesn't really live here and we don't particularly like him.

he has a brother named bear and we don't really like him either.

they are kevin's cat's, but kevin moved to arizona, california and now texas,

and they, the cats, moved here.

we don't like to feed them, but we do.

we don't like the way they sit in the kitchen window and stare at us, but when they aren't in the window, we wonder where they are.

we don't like the way they run back and forth from their food bowl to the door whenever we go outside.

we just don't like them much!

the temperature was in the teen's the other night and shane found tom and bear huddled by the front door when he opened it to see how cold it was outside. shane asked, "what are WE going to do about the cat's?" i said, "NOTHING." he said, "it's too cold for them, they need to be somewhere warm." i looked at him and he looked at me. i thought, "they are NOT sleeping in this house!" i dug around and found an old blanket. shane walked all the way out to the shed in the darkness of a freezing cold night and dug out a heating lamp we have. i made a bed, shane turned on the light and WE kept peeking out the window until they snuggled in for the night...well

really...we don't like them much.
